Kosher Baked Ziti

Ingredients

  • 1 pound kosher ziti pasta
  • 1 jar kosher marinara sauce
  • 1 pound kosher ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup kosher shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup kosher grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 large kosher eggs
  • 1/4 cup kosher fresh basil, chopped
  • 1/4 cup kosher fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon kosher garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon kosher dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ziti pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese, eggs, fresh basil, fresh parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the cooked ziti with the marinara sauce.
  5. Spread half of the ziti and marinara mixture in a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  6. Top with half of the ricotta mixture, then sprinkle with half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining ziti and marinara mixture, ricotta mixture, and cheeses.
  8. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  10. Let the baked ziti rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
