Kosher Baked Ziti
This Kosher Baked Ziti recipe is a delicious and comforting dish that is perfect for a family dinner or a special occasion.
Ingredients
- 1 pound kosher ziti pasta
- 1 jar kosher marinara sauce
- 1 pound kosher ricotta cheese
- 1 cup kosher shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup kosher grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 large kosher eggs
- 1/4 cup kosher fresh basil, chopped
- 1/4 cup kosher fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon kosher garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher onion powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon kosher dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the ziti pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese, eggs, fresh basil, fresh parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper.
- In a separate bowl, mix the cooked ziti with the marinara sauce.
- Spread half of the ziti and marinara mixture in a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Top with half of the ricotta mixture, then sprinkle with half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ziti and marinara mixture, ricotta mixture, and cheeses.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let the baked ziti rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
