Kosher Stuffed Peppers

Ingredients

  • 4 large bell peppers, any color
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes.
  3. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef or turkey, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the meat is browned and the onions are tender.
  4. Stir in the cooked rice, tomato sauce, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  5. Stuff the bell peppers with the meat and rice mixture and place them in a baking dish.
  6. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the peppers are tender.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes to brown the tops of the peppers.
  8. Serve the stuffed peppers hot and enjoy!
