Kota Belud Beef Soup
Kota Belud Beef Soup is a traditional dish from the Sabahan Cuisine, known for its rich and hearty flavors. This comforting soup is perfect for a cozy family meal or to warm up on a chilly day.
Ingredients
- 1 kg beef, cut into cubes
- 2 liters water
- 2 onions, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tomatoes, diced
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 2 potatoes, diced
- 1 stalk lemongrass, smashed
- 3 slices galangal
- 1 cinnamon stick
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring the water to a boil.
- Add the beef cubes and simmer for 1 hour until the meat is tender.
- Add the onions, garlic, tomatoes, carrots, potatoes, lemongrass, galangal, and cinnamon stick. Simmer for another 30 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
