Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped
- 1 cup chickpea flour (besan)
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 1 green chili, finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp sesame seeds
- Salt to taste
- Oil for greasing and frying
- Water as needed
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped coriander leaves, chickpea flour, ginger, green chili, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin seeds, sesame seeds, and salt.
- Add water gradually to form a thick batter.
- Grease a shallow pan with oil and spread the batter evenly in the pan.
- Steam the batter for 15-20 minutes until it sets and becomes firm.
- Allow it to cool, then cut it into squares or diamonds.
- Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the cut pieces until they turn golden and crispy.
- Remove from the pan and place on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
- Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.
