Ingredients
- 1 head of cabbage
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1/2 cup uncooked rice
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 cups beef or vegetable broth
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Carefully remove the outer leaves of the cabbage and blanch them in the boiling water for 2-3 minutes, or until they are pliable. Remove and set aside to cool.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, uncooked rice, onion, garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Place a spoonful of the meat mixture onto each cabbage leaf and roll it up, tucking in the sides as you go.
- Place the cabbage rolls seam side down in a large pot. Pour the broth over the rolls, making sure they are fully submerged.
- Cover the pot and simmer the cabbage rolls for 1 hour, or until the rice is fully cooked and the cabbage is tender.
