Krembo Cheesecake
Krembo Cheesecake is a delightful Israeli dessert that combines the creamy richness of cheesecake with the light and fluffy texture of krembo, a popular Israeli treat.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 16 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 8 krembo treats
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar, and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
- In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and 1/2 cup sugar until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and continue beating until well combined.
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust in the springform pan.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the center is almost set. Let it cool completely.
- Once the cheesecake is cooled, place the krembo treats on top of the cheesecake.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
