Kribi Spicy Beef Suya Skewers

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs beef sirloin, cut into thin strips
  • 1/4 cup groundnut powder (or peanut powder)
  • 2 tbsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the groundnut powder, cayenne pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, ground ginger, ground nutmeg, salt, and vegetable oil to make the marinade.
  2. Add the beef strips to the marinade and toss to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated beef strips onto the soaked wooden skewers.
  5. Grill the skewers for 3-4 minutes per side, or until the beef is cooked to your desired doneness.
