Ingredients
- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 8 cups beef broth
- 8 oz rice noodles
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch piece of ginger, sliced
- 2 tbsp fish sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 4 green onions, chopped
- Bean sprouts, cilantro, and lime wedges for garnish
Instructions
- In a pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and ginger, and sauté until fragrant.
- Add the beef slices and cook until browned.
- Pour in the beef broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let it simmer for 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cook the rice noodles according to the package instructions.
- Season the broth with fish sauce, soy sauce, sugar, and black pepper.
- Divide the cooked noodles into serving bowls and ladle the beef broth over the noodles.
- Garnish with green onions, bean sprouts, cilantro, and a squeeze of lime juice.
