Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, breadcrumbs, egg, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove the meatballs from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in the crushed tomatoes, beef broth, and sugar. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
- Return the meatballs to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the meatballs are cooked through.
- Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
