Kuih Lapis Love

Ingredients

  • 500g rice flour
  • 400g coconut milk
  • 300g sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pandan essence
  • Red food coloring
  • Green food coloring

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the rice flour, coconut milk, sugar, and salt until well combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into two equal portions.
  3. Add pandan essence to one portion and green food coloring to the other.
  4. Steam a thin layer of the pandan mixture for 5 minutes in a square pan lined with banana leaves.
  5. Steam a thin layer of the green mixture on top of the cooked pandan layer for 5 minutes.
  6. Repeat the steaming and layering process until all the mixture is used up.
  7. Allow the kuih lapis to cool completely before slicing and serving.
