Kuih Talam Temptation
Kuih Talam Temptation is a traditional Malaysian dessert that combines the richness of coconut milk with the sweetness of pandan. This two-layered steamed cake is a delightful treat for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1 cup rice flour
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pandan extract
- 1/4 cup tapioca flour
- Green food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix rice flour, coconut milk, water, sugar, and salt until well combined.
- Pour half of the mixture into a greased 8-inch square pan and steam for 10 minutes.
- Add pandan extract and tapioca flour to the remaining mixture and mix well. Add green food coloring if desired.
- Pour the pandan mixture over the cooked first layer and steam for another 15-20 minutes until set.
- Let it cool before cutting into pieces and serving.
