Kukupa (pigeon) Stir-fry

Ingredients

  • 1 kg kukupa meat, diced
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (bell peppers, carrots, snow peas)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
  2. Add diced kukupa meat and stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until browned. Remove the meat from the wok and set aside.
  3. In the same wok, add a bit more oil if needed and sauté the garlic and onion until fragrant.
  4. Add the mixed vegetables and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Pour the sauce over the vegetables and stir to combine.
  6. Return the cooked kukupa meat to the wok and toss everything together until the meat is heated through and the sauce has thickened.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Remove from heat and serve the kukupa stir-fry hot with steamed rice.
