Kung Pao Paneer
Kung Pao Paneer is a delicious and spicy Indo-Chinese dish that combines the flavors of Indian and Chinese cuisine. It's a popular vegetarian option that is sure to satisfy your taste buds with its bold and savory flavors.
Ingredients
- 1 block of paneer, cubed
- 1/4 cup peanuts
- 2-3 dried red chilies
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 3-4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1-inch ginger, grated
- 2 green chilies, sliced
- 2 spring onions, chopped
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the paneer cubes until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add peanuts and dried red chilies. Fry until the peanuts are golden. Remove and set aside.
- In the remaining oil, sauté the onions, bell peppers, garlic, ginger, green chilies, and white parts of the spring onions until they are slightly tender.
- In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, and cornstarch. Pour this mixture into the pan and stir well.
- Add the fried paneer, peanuts, and dried red chilies to the pan. Toss everything together until the paneer is well coated with the sauce.
- Garnish with the green parts of the spring onions and serve hot.
