Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup fresh dill, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the cooked chicken, rice, mushrooms, onion, hard-boiled eggs, chicken broth, sour cream, dill, salt, and pepper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry and line a greased pie dish with it.
  3. Spoon the chicken mixture into the pastry-lined dish.
  4. Cover the pie with another sheet of puff pastry, crimp the edges to seal, and brush the top with the beaten egg.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 45-50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
  6. Let the kurnik cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
