Kyar Zan Kyaw (crispy Chili Tofu With Peanuts)

Ingredients
- 1 block of firm tofu, drained and cubed
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 cup peanuts, chopped
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons chili garlic sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 green onion, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a bowl, toss the tofu cubes with cornstarch until evenly coated.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the tofu cubes and cook until golden and crispy on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove the tofu from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in the soy sauce, rice vinegar, chili garlic sauce, and brown sugar. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Return the crispy tofu to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped peanuts and green onions.
- Serve the Kyar Zan Kyaw hot with steamed rice or noodles.
