Ingredients

  • 500g ground beef
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the ground beef, onions, salt, black pepper, cumin, and water. Set aside.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, warm water, and vegetable oil. Knead the dough until smooth, then divide it into small balls.
  3. Roll out each dough ball into a thin circle. Place a portion of the meat mixture on one half of the circle, then fold the other half over the filling to create a half-moon shape. Press the edges to seal.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the pies for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Serve the kystyby hot with your favorite sauce or dip.
