Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh green beans, ends trimmed
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Xinjiang chili flakes
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
Instructions
- Blanch the green beans in boiling water for 2 minutes, then transfer to an ice bath to stop the cooking process. Drain and set aside.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the Xinjiang chili flakes, ground cumin, and salt to the wok. Stir-fry for 1 minute to release the flavors.
- Add the blanched green beans to the wok and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
- Drizzle the soy sauce and rice vinegar over the green beans, and toss to combine. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Transfer the spicy green beans to a serving dish and serve hot.
