Ingredients

  • 500g thinly sliced beef
  • 200g enoki mushrooms
  • 200g tofu, cut into cubes
  • 150g Chinese cabbage, chopped
  • 100g mung bean sprouts
  • 100g glass noodles
  • 4 cups chicken or beef broth
  • 1/2 cup Sichuan peppercorns
  • 1/4 cup chili oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Shaoxing wine
  • 1 tbsp sugar

Instructions

  1. Prepare the hot pot broth by bringing the chicken or beef broth to a boil in a hot pot or large pot.
  2. Add the Sichuan peppercorns, chili oil, garlic, green onions, soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, and sugar to the broth. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Add the beef, mushrooms, tofu, Chinese cabbage, mung bean sprouts, and glass noodles to the hot pot and cook until the beef is cooked and the vegetables are tender.
  4. Enjoy the hot pot by dipping the cooked ingredients into the flavorful broth.
