Labneh and Za'atar Stuffed Mushrooms are a delicious appetizer or side dish that combines the creamy tanginess of labneh with the earthy flavors of mushrooms and the aromatic blend of za'atar. This dish is perfect for entertaining or as a flavorful addition to any meal.
Ingredients
- 8 large mushrooms, stems removed and reserved
- 1 cup labneh
- 2 tablespoons za'atar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Finely chop the mushroom stems and sauté them in 1 tablespoon of olive oil until softened. Remove from heat and let cool.
- In a bowl, mix the labneh, za'atar, minced garlic, sautéed mushroom stems, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff each mushroom cap with the labneh mixture and place them on a baking sheet.
- Drizzle the stuffed mushrooms with the remaining olive oil and bake for 20 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the filling is golden brown.
- Serve the stuffed mushrooms warm and enjoy!
