Labuan Grilled Squid
Labuan Grilled Squid is a popular dish in Sabahan Cuisine, known for its delicious flavors and unique cooking method.
Ingredients
- 4 medium-sized squid, cleaned and scored
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped spring onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and chili flakes.
- Marinate the cleaned squid in the mixture for 10 minutes.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Grill the squid for 2-3 minutes on each side, basting with the marinade until cooked through.
- Season with salt and pepper, and garnish with chopped spring onions before serving.
