Laham Mishwy (emirati-style Grilled Lamb Chops)
Laham Mishwy is a traditional Emirati dish of succulent grilled lamb chops, marinated in aromatic spices and herbs, and then grilled to perfection.
Ingredients
- 8 lamb chops
- 1/4 cup yogurt
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together yogurt, minced garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, cinnamon, salt, and pepper.
- Add the lamb chops to the marinade, making sure they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the lamb chops from the marinade and brush them with olive oil.
- Grill the lamb chops for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- Remove from the grill and let the lamb chops rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
