Ingredients
- 4 large potatoes, boiled and mashed
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh coriander, chopped
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 tsp chaat masala
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the mashed potatoes, onion, green chilies, coriander, cumin seeds, red chili powder, garam masala, chaat masala, bread crumbs, and salt.
- Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into round patties.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and shallow fry the patties until golden brown and crispy on both sides.
- Remove the patties from the pan and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- Serve hot with mint chutney or tamarind sauce.
