Ingredients
- 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
- 1 cup yogurt
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 3 tomatoes, pureed
- 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 cup fresh cream
- 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
- Salt to taste
- Oil for cooking
Instructions
- Heat oil in a handi or deep pan. Add cumin seeds and let them crackle.
- Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Add chicken pieces and cook until they turn white.
- Stir in tomato puree, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook until the oil separates.
- Whisk the yogurt and add it to the chicken. Cook for 5-7 minutes.
- Add garam masala and mix well.
- Pour in the fresh cream and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
