Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 3-4 green chilies, sliced
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add the sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.
  2. Add the ginger garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
  3. Add the chicken pieces and cook until they are no longer pink.
  4. Stir in the red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook for a few minutes.
  5. Add the sliced bell peppers, chopped tomatoes, and green chilies. Cook until the vegetables are slightly tender.
  6. Sprinkle garam masala and mix well. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with naan or rice.
