Ingredients

  • 500g ground chicken
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2-3 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 cup fresh coriander, chopped
  • 1/2 cup gram flour (besan)
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Fresh coriander for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together ground chicken, onion, green chilies, ginger-garlic paste, fresh coriander, gram flour, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Shape the mixture into small balls to make koftas.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and fry the koftas until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add the tomato puree and cook for a few minutes. Then add yogurt, garam masala, and salt. Cook until the oil separates.
  4. Add the fried koftas to the curry, cover, and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot with naan or rice.
