Ingredients

  • 1 kg baby potatoes, boiled and peeled
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  2. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute. Then, add the tomato puree and cook until the oil separates.
  3. Whisk the yogurt and add it to the pan along with turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt. Cook for a few minutes.
  4. Add the boiled potatoes to the pan and coat them with the masala. Cover and cook on low heat for 20-25 minutes.
  5. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with naan or rice.
