Ingredients

  • 500g fish fillets, cut into pieces
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 tomatoes, pureed
  • 2 green chilies, sliced
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1/4 cup yogurt
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
  2. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
  4. Now add the tomato puree, green chilies, and all the dry spices. Cook until the oil separates.
  5. Whisk the yogurt and add it to the pan. Cook for a few minutes.
  6. Add the fish pieces and gently mix with the curry. Cover and cook for 10-15 minutes until the fish is cooked through.
  7. Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
