Lahori Murgh Makhani (creamy Lahori Butter Chicken)

Ingredients
- 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
- 1 cup yogurt
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 cup cream
- 2 tbsp kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken pieces in yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, and salt for 30 minutes.
- Heat butter in a pan and sauté the chopped onion until golden brown.
- Add the marinated chicken and cook until the chicken is tender.
- Stir in the tomato puree, red chili powder, and garam masala. Cook for 10 minutes.
- Add cream and kasuri methi, and simmer for another 5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with naan or rice.
