Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 2 tbsp kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken pieces in yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, and salt for 30 minutes.
  2. Heat butter in a pan and sauté the chopped onion until golden brown.
  3. Add the marinated chicken and cook until the chicken is tender.
  4. Stir in the tomato puree, red chili powder, and garam masala. Cook for 10 minutes.
  5. Add cream and kasuri methi, and simmer for another 5 minutes.
  6. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with naan or rice.
