Ingredients

  • 1 kg mutton, cut into pieces
  • 2 large onions, finely sliced
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large pot and sauté the onions until golden brown.
  2. Add the mutton pieces and ginger-garlic paste. Cook until the mutton changes color.
  3. Whisk the yogurt and add it to the pot along with red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well.
  4. Cover the pot and let the mutton cook on low heat for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until tender.
  5. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
