Lahori Nihari (لہوری نہاری)
لہوری نہاری (Lahori Nihari) is a traditional Muhajir Cuisine dish that is rich in flavor and history. This slow-cooked stew is a popular choice for special occasions and gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 kg beef, cut into pieces
- 2 onions, sliced
- 1/2 cup ghee
- 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 1/4 cup wheat flour
- 1 tbsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 6 cups water
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Heat ghee in a large pot and fry the onions until golden brown.
- Add the beef pieces and ginger garlic paste, and cook until the meat changes color.
- Stir in the wheat flour and spices, and cook for a few minutes.
- Pour in the water, cover the pot, and simmer on low heat for 3-4 hours until the meat is tender.
- Adjust the seasoning and consistency according to your preference.
