Lahori Tawa Chicken (لہوری توا چکن)

Ingredients
- 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 onions, finely sliced
- 3 tomatoes, chopped
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 1/4 cup oil
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Heat oil on a tawa or large skillet over medium heat.
- Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Add chicken pieces and cook until they are no longer pink.
- Add chopped tomatoes, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and coriander powder. Cook until the tomatoes are soft.
- Whisk yogurt and garam masala together, then add it to the tawa. Cook for another 5-7 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
