Lake Bohinj Trout with Herbs (Bohinjska Postrv s Zelišči)

Ingredients

  • 4 whole trout, cleaned and gutted
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh dill, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh chives, chopped
  • 2 lemons, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the stovetop grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Season the inside and outside of the trout with salt and pepper.
  3. Stuff the trout with the chopped herbs and lemon slices.
  4. Brush the trout with olive oil.
  5. Place the trout on the grill and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through and the skin is crispy.
  6. Remove the trout from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
