Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt; stir into the batter alternately with the milk.
  5. Grease and flour a lamb-shaped cake mold.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared mold.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  8. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely.
