Ingredients
- 1 pound beef brisket, sliced
- 8 cups beef broth
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2-inch piece of ginger, sliced
- 2 star anise
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Salt, to taste
- 12 oz hand-pulled noodles
- Green onions, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring the beef broth to a boil.
- Add the beef brisket, onion, garlic, ginger, star anise, cinnamon sticks, soy sauce, dark soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, and sugar to the pot.
- Reduce the heat to low and let the soup simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the beef is tender.
- Cook the hand-pulled noodles according to the package instructions.
- Divide the cooked noodles into serving bowls and ladle the beef and broth over the noodles.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.
