Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 shallots, finely chopped
  • 3 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint, chopped
  • 2 tbsp roasted rice powder
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce
  • 3 tbsp lime juice
  • 1-2 tsp chili flakes
  • Lettuce leaves, for serving
  • Sticky rice, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add the shallots, green onions, cilantro, and mint to the cooked beef. Stir to combine.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the roasted rice powder, fish sauce, lime juice, and chili flakes. Pour this dressing over the beef mixture and toss to coat.
  4. Serve the larb with lettuce leaves for wrapping and sticky rice on the side, if desired.
