Latvian Apple Strudel (Latviešu ābolu štrūdele)

Ingredients

  • 4 large apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 6 sheets phyllo dough
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon, and raisins.
  3. Place one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface and brush it with melted butter. Repeat with the remaining sheets.

  6. Roll the phyllo dough and apple filling into a log, then tuck the ends under.
