Ingredients

  • 1 pound (450g) penne pasta
  • 2 cups (500ml) marinara sauce
  • 1 cup (250ml) heavy cream
  • 1 cup (100g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup (100g) mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup (50g) breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the marinara sauce and heavy cream. Stir in the dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Let the sauce simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Add the cooked penne to the sauce and mix well. Stir in half of the grated Parmesan cheese.
  6. Transfer the pasta mixture to a greased baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, and breadcrumbs on top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
