Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp ground allspice
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 burger buns
  • Lettuce, tomato, and onion for garnish
  • 1/2 cup tahini
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, grated onion, minced garlic, parsley, cumin, allspice, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Form the mixture into 4 patties.
  2. Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  3. While the patties are cooking, prepare the tahini sauce by whisking together the tahini, water, lemon juice, minced garlic, and salt in a small bowl. Add more water if needed to reach your desired consistency.
