Ingredients
- 1 lb lamb, cubed
- 2 pita bread, torn into small pieces
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup pine nuts, toasted
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the cubed lamb and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove the lamb from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add the torn pita bread and toast until crispy, about 5 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In a small bowl, mix the plain yogurt with minced garlic, ground cumin, and ground cinnamon. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Assemble the dish by layering the crispy pita bread on the bottom of a serving platter. Top with the cooked lamb, then drizzle the yogurt sauce over the lamb. Sprinkle with toasted pine nuts and garnish with fresh parsley.
