Lebanese Spinach And Feta Fatayer

Ingredients

  • 3 cups of fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup of crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of sumac
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon of allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
  • 1 package of store-bought pizza dough

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the chopped spinach, crumbled feta cheese, chopped onion, olive oil, sumac, salt, black pepper, allspice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cayenne pepper.
  2. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  3. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface and cut it into 12 equal-sized circles.
  4. Place a spoonful of the spinach and feta mixture in the center of each dough circle.
  5. Fold the edges of the dough circle over the filling to create a triangular shape, pinching the edges to seal the fatayer.
  6. Place the fatayer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
