Lebur Chutney (sweet And Sour Lemon Chutney)

Ingredients

  • 4 lemons, juiced and zested
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the lemon juice, lemon zest, sugar, salt, red chili flakes, roasted cumin powder, black salt, turmeric powder, ginger, and garlic.
  2. Add water and mix well.
  3. Cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens to a chutney-like consistency, about 15 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  5. Transfer the chutney to a sterilized jar and store in the refrigerator.
