Lebur Chutney (sweet And Sour Lemon Chutney)
Lebur Chutney is a popular sweet and sour lemon chutney from Bangladeshi cuisine. It is a delicious condiment that pairs well with various dishes, adding a burst of tangy flavor to the meal.
Ingredients
- 4 lemons, juiced and zested
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black salt
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine the lemon juice, lemon zest, sugar, salt, red chili flakes, roasted cumin powder, black salt, turmeric powder, ginger, and garlic.
- Add water and mix well.
- Cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens to a chutney-like consistency, about 15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let it cool.
- Transfer the chutney to a sterilized jar and store in the refrigerator.
