Lemon Myrtle Beef Stir-Fry (柠檬香草牛肉炒)
This delicious Australian Chinese cuisine recipe combines the unique flavors of lemon myrtle with tender beef in a quick and easy stir-fry.
Ingredients
- 500g beef, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon lemon myrtle leaves, chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, marinate the beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and chopped lemon myrtle leaves for 10 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned.
- Add the sliced bell peppers and continue stir-frying for another 3-4 minutes until the beef is cooked to your liking and the peppers are tender-crisp.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, then remove from heat.
