Lemongrass Beef Skewers (Brochettes de zébu à la citronnelle)
Brochettes de zébu à la citronnelle, or Lemongrass Beef Skewers, is a popular dish in Malagasy cuisine, known for its unique flavors and aromatic spices.
Ingredients
- 500g of zebu beef, cut into cubes
- 3 stalks of lemongrass, white parts only, finely chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the lemongrass, garlic, soy sauce, honey, vegetable oil, salt, and pepper.
- Add the zebu beef cubes to the marinade and toss to coat. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Thread the marinated beef onto skewers.
- Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the skewers for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the beef is cooked to your desired doneness.
- Serve the lemongrass beef skewers hot with rice or a fresh salad.
