Ingredients
- 2 cups ground almonds
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Gently fold in the ground almonds, almond extract, and baking powder until well combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 40 minutes, or until the cake is golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
