Ingredients
- 6 apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 pre-made pie crust
- 2 tablespoons butter, cut into small pieces
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Toss to coat the apples evenly.
- Place the pie crust in a pie dish and crimp the edges.
- Fill the pie crust with the apple mixture and dot the top with butter pieces.

- Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
