Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped

- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the onion, garlic, and red bell pepper to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are tender.
- Stir in the paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place a spoonful of the beef mixture onto each empanada pastry disc. Fold the pastry over the filling and crimp the edges with a fork to seal.
- Brush the empanadas with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the empanadas are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
