Ingredients

  • 4 pieces of salted cod fillets
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 8 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Soak the salted cod fillets in water for 24 hours, changing the water several times to remove excess salt.
  2. Pat the cod fillets dry and cut them into serving-sized pieces.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until golden brown.
  4. Stir in the sweet paprika and cayenne pepper, then add the cod fillets to the skillet.
  5. Pour in the white wine and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the cod is cooked through.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve the cod with the garlic sauce spooned over the top.
