Ingredients

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, combine the cherries, water, sugar, and cinnamon stick. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
  2. Stir in the red wine and continue to simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with cold water until smooth. Slowly pour the cornstarch mixture into the soup, stirring constantly until the soup thickens slightly.
  4. Remove the cinnamon stick and discard.
  5. Allow the soup to cool slightly before serving.
