Ingredients

  • 2 kg ripe plums, pitted and chopped
  • 1 kg granulated sugar
  • 1 lemon, juiced

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine the chopped plums, sugar, and lemon juice.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar has dissolved.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and simmer the jam, stirring occasionally, for about 1 hour or until it reaches the desired consistency.
  4. Skim off any foam that rises to the surface during cooking.
  5. Once the jam has thickened, remove it from the heat and let it cool slightly.
  6. Pour the jam into sterilized jars and seal them tightly. Allow the jam to cool completely before storing.
