Ingredients
- 2 kg ripe plums, pitted and chopped
- 1 kg granulated sugar
- 1 lemon, juiced
Instructions
- In a large pot, combine the chopped plums, sugar, and lemon juice.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar has dissolved.
- Reduce the heat to low and simmer the jam, stirring occasionally, for about 1 hour or until it reaches the desired consistency.
- Skim off any foam that rises to the surface during cooking.
- Once the jam has thickened, remove it from the heat and let it cool slightly.
- Pour the jam into sterilized jars and seal them tightly. Allow the jam to cool completely before storing.
