Ingredients
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1/2 cup water chestnuts, finely chopped
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp white pepper
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups Napa cabbage, chopped
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground pork, water chestnuts, green onions, egg, soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, sugar, salt, and white pepper.
- Form the mixture into large meatballs, about 3 inches in diameter.
- Roll the meatballs in cornstarch to coat evenly.
- In a large skillet, heat some oil over medium heat. Brown the meatballs on all sides.
- Pour in the chicken broth and add the Napa cabbage. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through.
